Personality:
First impressions of Monnie can be very conflicting, depending on when you meet her. Overall she’s a very social individual and enjoys partaking in playful games, her demeanor made all the more agreeable by certain refined mannerisms acquired from her adopted family. She knows how to have a good night out and how to turn her sarcasm into the intended playful tone; at times she could pass for a rough version of carefree. Many of her mischievous acts, such as moving items to play with other’s minds, are overall harmless- though might annoy some.

However, she also suffers from low emotional points in her life. She has a deep fear of abandonment that brings about feelings of loneliness, and for this reason she will question how much the people around her truly care for her. Usually she shrugs this off by diving into another conversation, but the schism in her actions and emotions can be apparent. During her low points it becomes obvious as her social tendencies shut down, and her speech gains a more bitter or sad edge. Her mischievous acts can become a little less innocent, and her typically vengeful temperament seems less justified and creepier.

Thankfully this is something she tries hard to control, and typically can so long as nothing in particular is adding a load of stress onto her mind. The only thing she seems to lack control over is her mischievous nature, and her odd standards for cuddling. Perhaps a bit unusual for her kind, she very much enjoys touching and clinging to her friends; it’s something that comforts her feelings of being alone. However, she’s quick to push away random people hugging her or clinging to her arm; even a poke seems to irk her. Her friends receive a lot of special privilege and concern in her book.

History:
The beginning of her life occurred in something of a rough environment. This fact was reflected in her mother's personality, and transferred to Monnie. However, in spite of any faults in their relationship, she cared for her mother and felt those sentiments were reciprocated. The day she was taken to the orphanage was a shock for her, and left her less than social. Between the stress of the situation and her youth, she was left vulnerable to death which took its opportunity.

For some time she roamed as an unhappy, cold spirit, her energy unable to move on. Eventually she came across a cemetery, which became a temporary home. It was here that she met an interesting figure; a ghost that could be touched, and who held an odd, but sincere kindness. He would return to see her frequently, and the two began to build something of a silent bond; even to the point that he treated her akin to a daughter, as well as a pupil. In time she became a part of this family; meeting his wife, and forming a sisterly bond with his daughter. Soon enough she learned her new father's secret for a physical form, and followed after his example. The form is similar to an advanced golem, having a better illusion of true human form, but requiring constant allotments of her energy. When strong enough she can manipulate this physical form with the knowledge she acquired as a ghost, permitting levitation and intangibility, but always running the risk of being destroyed.

It was one of her most appreciated gifts, and the ability to feel once again became something of significant importance to her. Between it and her family, her personality slowly softened. As she grew older it was even suggested that she should open a shop somewhere with a new start, which she took to heart.

I like Monnie. She's a nice character (unless she's having a bad time). I like the fact she's an orphan. I'm kinda planning on doing an orphaned Gijinka for my application too
